Charlotte Trip Advisor Review

We'd like to thank Bud41 of Charlotte Trip Advisor for the great feedback! Being a new venue in Belmont, we believe it's important to get the community involved. If anyone knows of any Bluegrass or Southern Gospel groups in the area who would like a venue to perform, please leave comments and contact information.
Please note that the Grand Opening weekend was free, but we will be charging $8.00 admission for adults, with kids 10 and under free. Doors will be opened at 6:30 . No early seating. Please remember we are a small, intimate setting and seating is limited. Our snack bar offers old-fashioned bottled Coke, canned soda, bottled water, candy bars, chips, ice cream, etc.
We'd like to thank everyone who came out for Grand Opening weekend and wish we had more room to accomodate everyone ! Remember to listen to Belmont's own WCGC for announcements as well, and many thanks to bluegrass and gospel radio show host Mark Christopher for his help.

Grand Opening Weekend

The Scruggs Opry House had its Grand opening on April 13th and April 14th 2007. Friday Night featured Lamons Recording Artist Brian Jackson and Local Southern Gospel Quartet "For His Praise Quartet" from Belmont's First Baptist Church.
Saturday Night featured "A Deeper Shade Of Blue" from Monroe, NC and "The Far City Boys from Forest City, NC.
We had a good crowd Friday Night and Saturday Night. Saturday Night was standing room only and at one time with around 25 people standing out on the sidewalk listening in.
We plan to have Bluegrass, Bluegrass Gospel and Southern Gospel music about once a month. This is a place you can bring your family for entertainment. We do not allow alcoholic Beverages, smoking or profanity in this establishment.
Our next weekend will be May 4th and May 5th. On May 4th "Bluegrass Revival" and "The Grigg Family" will be playing. May 5th will feature the well-known NC bluegrass group "Southern Junction".
