The next MONTHLY JAM SESSION will be held on MONDAY AUGUST 3rd at 7:00pm ! Be sure to join us ! Remember, bring more than one instrument if you play more than one ! There's never a charge for admission on Jam Nights, but the snack bar will be open and we appreciate your support ! Beginner - to - advanced invited !! HAPPY SUMMER Y'ALL !!

JULY JAM SESSION.........

While you're sitting near the air conditioner watching the corn grow out the window don't forget the next BLUEGRASS MUSICIANS JAM SESSION will be held on MONDAY JULY 6th beginning at 7:00 p.m. !! The door opens at 6:45 and we hope you'll join us for a relaxing night of spontaneous bluegrass music. We welcome young and old, newbies and pros, beginner to advanced musicians and also anyone who just wants to drop in and listen for a while ! If you play more than one instrument, please be sure to bring more than one (that way we can split up into smaller groups, or not just have 8 banjos and 6 mandolins ! ) This is a great opportunity for beginning musicians to pick up some tips from more experienced pickers, and a good chance to show off the latest thing you've learned. Ladies - it's not just a boys' night - wives and lady musicians are encouraged to attend ! Remember there is NO ADMISSION CHARGE on Jam Nights......however the SNACK BAR will be open and we appreciate your purchases (which help to keep bluegrass in Belmont !). Hope to see you there Monday 7-6-2009 !!

Pastor Fred Murphy....

Please remember the family of Pastor Fred Murphy, who passed away last week. He was a wonderful, kind man, a Pastor in the Presbyterian church for over 50 years, and also a bluegrass musician. (Brother to Dewey and John.)

The next MONTHLY JAM SESSION is on MONDAY JUNE 1st from 7:00 - 9:00pm. There is no entrance fee for Jam Sessions ! You are welcome to come and play or come and listen ! Our Jam nights are open to bluegrass musicians beginner-to-advanced and are very relaxed. If you play more than one instrument you are encouraged to bring more than one. Bring along your neighbor and enjoy a fun night of spontaneous bluegrass music ! The snack bar will be open, and we encourage you to support the Opry House with your purchases ! Thanks so much !

Saturday May 23rd the Opry House has its first-time visit from DARIN & BROOKE ALDRIDGE.
The admission for this show will be $10 for adults...children 10 & under free with a paying adult.
The door opens at 6:30pm, so be the first in line to grab your seat for a terrific night of bluegrass music. Show starts at 7:00pm. Please be sure to stop by the snack bar and enjoy an old-fashioned bottled Coke or a hot coffee (yes, we've added de-caf !) Thanks for supporting the Opry House !
